Update Tool Guide
This guide will show you how to upgrade or apply configurations to one or multiple AMG570 switches using the ‘AMG570 Upgrade and Configuration Application tool via a SFTP, TFTP or FTP connection.
Applying Firmware
1. Open the AMG570 Upgrade and Configuration Application
2. Add the device / devices IP addresses you would like to update or configure and select ‘Add’
3. Once you have added the device / devices IP addresses, they will show in the index
4. Select on the IP of the device / devices you would like to upgrade or configure and select ‘GET DETAILS’. This will open a tab where you must type in the device Username/Password and select ‘OK’
5. You will be able to view the IP address, MAC Address, Software Version, PoE version and the status of the device You will be able to view the IP address, MAC Address, Software Version, PoE version and the status of the device
6. Select the device or hold the ‘CTRL’ button and select multiple devices you would like to apply your update or configurations to and select the ‘UPGRADE’ option
7. You will be presented with screen where you can select your ‘Server Type’. Enter your SFTP / FTP or TFTP server configurations, the ‘Filename’ and the username and password of the devices to be upgraded, then select ‘OK’ or ‘Save’ if you require the same server details for more devices
NOTE: If you input an incorrect filename, it will fail to apply the upgrade and the status will show the message ‘Upgrade filename does not match device’
8. If successful, the index will show the status of the device as “Downloading, checking old image linux.bk... needs update and Upgrade complete”
9. This will then proceed to apply the upgrade or configuration to the next device if it was selected to upgrade
Applying and Saving Configurations
1. Open the AMG570 Upgrade and Configuration Application
2. Add the device / devices IP addresses you would like to update or configure and select ‘Add’
3. Select on the IP of the device / devices you would like to upgrade or configure and select ‘GET DETAILS’. This will open a tab where you must type in the device Username/Password and select ‘OK’
4. You will be able to view the IP address, MAC Address, Software Version, PoE version and the status of the device. Now proceed to select ‘SAVE CONFIG’ or ‘RESTORE CONFIG’ depending on if you would like to save the configuration of your switch to your storage location via your transport protocol
5. Input your SFTP, FTP, TFTP server details, the correct file name for your config you are restoring and the username and password for the device
NOTE: You must apply the exact filename to have the correct configuration applied to the switch as if this is put incorrectly, the configuration upload will fail
6. The status of the restored configuration will show as ‘Restore Config complete’, once successful
7. The status of the saved configuration will show as ‘Save Config complete’
Loading device IP address list via CSV File
1. Start by opening the CSV file and inputting the required IP addresses per column and save the CSV file
2. Select ‘File’ > ‘Load from CSV File’
3. Select the CSV file you just created
4. You will now see the list of IP addresses from the CSV file applied to the index
